angličtina term

trigger

angličtina -> čeština Technika/strojírenství Medicína: kardiologie ECG
The word "trigger" is so general, I don't know what meaning to choose.
---
Context: Display the next trigger.
---
It is from a ECG Recording System manual - section on recording ECG waveforms.
The following sentence comes from different file I found Googling:
Trigger is the signal the System 98XT uses to identify the beginning of the cardiac cycle. (...) The trigger is an internal signal generator allowing asynchronous assistance.
In normal operation, the rate is fixed at 80 BPM.
---
What is the Czech term? "Spousteci impuls", "Pocatek srdecniho cyklu"???

spouštěcí impuls

I cannot see nothing better. Basically, it is the same as oscilloscopy. The triggering can be internal (some slope or part of the measured curve) or external.

Try to used another word in English( from thesaurus )and you might get the idea for trigger, according to ECG (EKG ).I would start with inducement, because it is electrical impuls and not some "spousteci impuls".
Spustit ( kohoutek) = release the trigger.I would not use the word " spustit. Sorry.
