从法律上来说，exception的本义是例外，一般法律文书中也以译为“例外”为宜。如果一个章节或条款都是规定一些条件和义务，而之后又出现一条exceptions，那就是说其中所列情况不适用前面的规定；如果一个章节或条款都规定一些不适用的情况，则后面的exception则规定一些例外的适用情况；从这个意义上说，这些exceptions都是一些特例。如果文书中规定了很多义务，则后面的exceptions则会规定一些免责事项，此时exceptions=exemptions。但无论是哪种用法，都是指的“例外”或“例外事项”。正因为此词的用途较广，所以，没有特殊情况时，建议直译为“例外”或“例外事项”。如果其项下的内容确实都是免责条款，那就译为“免责条款”。由于工作关系，过去经常审提单、租船合约、租船提单，有些里面确实以exceptions代exemptions，也有的确实就是一般的“例外”。但几乎所有的exceptions和exemptions都或多或少地与海商法或海事条约（公约）的规定有关系。

ADELLEBJI， 在英文字典里面，我也没有查到EXEPTION这个单词。但是曾看到过说免签证的时候用到EXEPTION的例子，表达的意思就是“免”。在你的句子中翻译为“免责规定”应该是可以的，但是具体EXCEPTION 和EXEMPTION作为英语单词有什么区别，还请各位大侠指点

但是我怀疑应当是exemptiond, 因为我找到了这个词，而解释是罗马尼亚文。
