as distinguished from dry measure by volume. Normally, Ken Cox would be absolutely spot on but I would think that, having entered the word "gewogen", your text is intending to make the distinction absolutely clear that it is a measure of weight and not of volume.

It stands for "droge stof", the English term is "dry weight", so "mg/kg ds" as a whole reads "milligram per kilogram droge stof". ...
