Danish term

Epikrise APE

Danish to English Medical Medical (general) Patient records
"16.11.2009 Epikrise APE." I believe Epikrise means Case discussion?

Also "27.12.2010 Continuation APE" the term "Continuation APE" is used in the Danish document.

What does "APE" stand for please, and do I translate "APE" to English?

Discharge summary Abdominoperineal excision (APE)

Abdominoperineal excision (APE)

Found this by googling, first in Danish and then in English, where the expression is identical.
It is a treatment for colorectal cancer.

I don´t know whether it fits your context, and there were also a lot of hits for Akut Plejeenhed.

I frequently translate epikirise as ´discharge summary´ - as long as it fits, of course! I find it frequently used when a patient is discharged or transferred from one department to another, picking up the main points and rounding off ´the story so far´.

P.S. My guess would be that APE are the initials of a doctor, but I may be completely wrong.
