udvikling evolution Explanation: 75 millioner Google hits på "employee evolution". Det kan du ikke gå helt galt i byen med. "Growth" og "development" duer ikke. |

success Explanation: This is not quite the same as udvikling/development but it would fit in your example: "...we believe in the success of our employees in order to have success in our business. Your success takes place through your daily work." |

develop and stay ahead Explanation: Without going completely over to bullshit bingo, you could try expressions like staying ahead or taking the lead ... helping our employees to grow their skills so our business stays ahead I agree that repeating ´develop´ would be underlined in red by my English teachers at least, even though it is quite acceptable to repeat ´udvikling´ in Danish. Maybe not very imaginative - ´Udvikling´ er noget af et gummiord. :-) Strictly, what the employee does and what the company/business does are different things, so you need a different verb. ... develop and grow so the company moves with the market I might translate it fairly freely for a client like that, but you have to make sure it fits with their general tone and be prepared to defend your decision or find a compromise if they don´t like it. |

Development Explanation: Hi Christine, I think you need to be careful not to over-analyze this one. It is perfectly normal to talk about employee development. I believe you grow as a human being, but you develop your professional skills. Based on your employees' development, your company can 'continue to grow as a business' or 'stay amongst the leaders' or 'be successful as a company', 'gain strength as a business' etc. etc. There are many options, but I think it's perfectly fine to use 'develop' for the employees. Good luck! See the many links here for additional info: http://www.entrepreneur.com/article/77678 http://www.allbusiness.com/strengthen-your-business-by-devel... progress Explanation: Would that do? Another way of saying "development". |
