casey (asker) Jun 26, 2013:
How do you romanize the characters?
Rex Jin Jun 26, 2013:
Yes, Chinese name of the MSG seems to be attractive, but it is hard to equate the word with the same effect in English. Because MSG is barely used. Translating the name in English by its ingredient, which is MSG, is OK.
Zilin Cui Jun 26, 2013:
it's a type of MSG

“Tian Tian Xian”

Based on its Chinese pronunciation, it shall be translated as "Tian Tian Xian". Since it is a trademark ( as it comes with a TM symbol at the end of its Chinese words), no explanation is needed.

Tyn’tyn-Shan

这里意译似乎很困难,故而音译成Tyn‘tyn-Shan。
比如太太乐的出口产品中将“太太乐”音译成“TOTOLE”
