Catalan term

Botina modelada per adaptar a ortesi

Catalan to English Medical Medical: Instruments Invoice from a Clinic (Girona Spanish)
Hi, friends! I'm translating some medical documents from Spanish to English. But a couple of them are written in... Catalán?? I don't know.. and I've come across this expression. This is an item in an invoice. No more context, unfortunately. Can anybody help me? I guess it's a sort of plaster for the leg... but I don't know how to express it in English.
Thanks so much for your help!!!

I've solved the problem, Timothy... and gave the points to Favio.... have a nice week and thanks for your useful comments!!!
Gabriela Mejías (asker) Mar 30, 2006:
You're right, Timothy--- but how can I do to give him points once I've declined the answer??? I really don't know...
Timothy Barton Mar 29, 2006:
Fabio's answer is good. You could give him the points anyway for his effort.
Gabriela Mejías (asker) Mar 28, 2006:
Thank you for your piece of advice, Timothy. I did contact the client and he decided to consult another translator for these language pairs. Fortunately, he understood I can't be expected to translate from any language.
Have a nice day!!
Gabriela
Timothy Barton Mar 27, 2006:
As I said to Fabio, you should contact the client and refuse the job. You can't be expected to translate from a language you don't claim to translate from, and you will probably mistranslate things, especially the past tense.

boot modelled to adapt to an orthesis

Primero voy a traducir al español:

http://www.san.gva.es/val/inst/pdf/resolucion27302catalogoor...
ortesi => órtesis

http://www.arrakis.es/~gre/luxtobhtm.htm
botina = botina

En inglés: órtesis => orthesis
Something went wrong...
4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Thank you so much, Favio. You really deserve the points. Your answer is very good!!!! In fact, it is the one I used tentatively, although the client decided to consult a translator matching those language pairs. "
