plantar wart (verruca plantaris)
Verruca vulgaris is the 'common wart' (Stachelwarze), called a 'plantar wart' (Dornwarze) on the sole of the foot. In layman's language, simply 'a verruca'. Both caused by the HPV virus, HPV2 and HPV2 respectively. Numerous Internet references.
