Yes, that's what I thought, too. However, what doe we say for "roger" in German? Is there anything corresponding?

Could well be short for "roger", which people used to say when talking on a two-way radio as a kind of an equivalent of "OK". Supposedly corrupted from "Right you are!". No longer officially sanctioned, I'm told. (Replaced by "Romeo"?!)
