Checking to see if AE "carpet shampooer" and "carpet extractor" are the same in BE. Need to do some consumer brand research for EU products.

In view of your note I would stick with (industrial/heavy duty) carpet cleaner, (industrial) carpet cleaning machine.

Thanks - sounds like extracting the carpet, rather than extracting stains/dirt ... not used UK, I don't think ..

I guess "carpet cleaner" is another option I didn't think to mention. Not to be confused with a dry vacuum cleaner.
