Italian term

tessiture rigate

Italian to English Other Textiles / Clothing / Fashion
In the list of garment descriptions I'm translating, there is often a reference to trousers and jackets with "tessitura/e rigata/e" at various points such as the cuffs, bottom or even the waist. For example: "Giubbino trapuntato con *tessitura rigata* al fondo", or: "Pantalone con *tessitura rigata* in vita e fondo elasticato", or again: "Felpa, scollo con *tessitura rigata* e ricamo dietro". I'd normally translate "rigata" as "striped", but I feel that in this case, the "rigata" might instead refer to a sort of ribbing. Any ideas?

I think you’re right, I would take it for “arricciato”, which could be gathered/ribbed
