English to Spanish Law/Patents Law (general) Hearing proceedings

I am struggling here, I cannot come up with a good fit for "on the record". This is one of the things a hearing officer may do during the hearing to assist in bringing out all relevant facts. I understand that on the record means that the interrogation shall be included in the records of the case.

Interrogar a un testigo en actas/en el expediente?
A longer alternative would be "con la correspondiente constancia en actas"
