I'm translating a Student Finance letter (UK) and I have the following text:
MAINTENANCE LOAN
Loan not based on household income: £10,000.00
Equals loan available to you: £10,000.00
Loan requested: £10,000.00
Loan to be paid to you: £10,000.00
Is "equals loan" a type of loan or does "equal" refer to the symbol (=)? Both options seem a bit weird to me, so I'd appreciate your help!
