I may be nitpicking but does "four wheels" refers exclusively to cars?, because if motocross professional used to partake in MX competition, one could think he could also have been an ATV rider for example.
At least that was my first thought when i read "four wheels".

@Emmanuella Oui, mais cela arrive dans dans conversations spontanées- je ne vois pas le problème. Si Neal cherche une traduction pour le mot caisses, je ne vois que ça. S'il veut le remplacer par une tournure de phrase complètement différente, c'est une autre histoire- mais je ferais attention avec des suggestions qui changent le sens de cette réponse qui ne dit pas grande chose quand même dans le texte original (filler.)

US English equivalent of "motor" Presumably you're looking for a slang equivalent of "cars" in English, Neal. If this were British English, "motors" would probably do the trick, so you need whatever the US English equivalent of that is, then, I suppose. If there isn't a term that fits nicely, I'd probably just put "Ah ha! Cars." (as Melanie has suggested).

Context 'Ride' is about the only common slang I can come up with for 'car', but it doesn't work in this context at all- If someone says they're into cars, you can't say 'Oh, rides!' in response.
