radial loading/stockpiling

'Haricot' refers to the radial movement, as in the shape of a 'table haricot', I believe.

kidney(-shaped) (stock)pile

So, when you think 'haricot', what do you see? Runner beans, butter beans, beans with tomato sauce in a can (and on your plate with eggs and bacon), or ... kidney beans.
Radial (or 'polar') stackers could form continuous circles, but if the circle is interrupted you are left with a kidney-bean shape. While the French latch on to the haricot aspect, we latch on to the 'kidney' side of things.
In one of the photos below you'll find an image of such a haricot or 'kidney'.
"We design, fabricate and supply a wide-range of machines for the heaping of round, longitudinal and KIDNEY-SHAPED PILES; as well as homogenizing and blending with capacities from 300 t/h to 20,000 t/h"
"With a maximum discharge height of 10.9m (34’ 9”) when operated in conical mode the machine will stockpile 3820 tonne of material. When configured to operate at 125° KIDNEY BEAN MODE the machine will stockpile 16064 tonne (17,707 US Tonnes) of material."

"Whether stationary, mobile or pivoting, whether circular, longitudinal or KIDNEY STOCKPILE: H+E stackers also ensure targeted, clean spreading and represent the perfect supplement to the conveyor chain."
