Italian term

Condizioni generali scadute

Votes to reclassify question as PRO/non-PRO:

Non-PRO (2): Tom in London, Rachel Fell

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

Discussion

philgoddard Dec 12, 2022:
Rossella suggests 'serious/critical', but she also says the patient has got better, which sounds like a contradiction.
FPC Dec 12, 2022:
Not really "improved" I'd rather think (interpret it) as "being degraded". maybe not worse than earlier and not critical but but degraded compared to normal/good health.

"Deteriorated/degraded/low general state/conditions"
Rossella Roma (asker) Dec 12, 2022:
Not really, conditions were severe but the patient is better now
Lirka Dec 12, 2022:
terminal? Does your context support it?

Deteriorated/degraded/low general state/conditions

I'd rather think (interpret it) as "being degraded". Maybe not worse than earlier and not critical nor fatal, but degraded compared to normal/good health.

Poor Functional Status

"The Functional Status Score for the Intensive Care Unit (FSS-ICU) is a 5-item performance-based measure that utilizes an 8 point, ordinal scale to measure physical function for patients in the intensive care unit setting."

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5292321/

There is also the Performance Status but it is used especially for cancer and treatment

--------------------------------------------------

The Functional Status Score for the Intensive Care Unit (FSS-ICU) is a physical function measure specifically designed for the ICU that has not had comprehensive evaluation of its clinimetric performance.(9;10) The FSS-ICU includes 5 functional tasks (rolling, transfer from spine to sit, sitting at the edge of bed, transfer from sit to stand, and walking). Each task is evaluated using an 8-point ordinal scale ranging from 0 (not able to perform) to 7 (complete independence; see Web Table 1 for example scale; instrument and scoring details available at www.ImproveLTO.com). The total FSS-ICU score ranges from 0 to 35, with higher scores indicating better physical functioning.
