Dear ProZ members,
I have a doubt about the following sentence from a cartoon. A girl has met what she thinks to be an evil being and is astonished.
悪霊とか妖怪とかいるところにはいるんだね、実際。
Literally: "Things like evil spirits and demons really exist in places where they exist."
As you may guess, my problem is with the いるところにはいる part. My attempt:
"Things like evil spirits and demons really exist if you go in the right places".
Is this a valid translation or am I missing the real meaning?
Thank ypu so much!

You can hardly find them, but I just met one.
This phrase generally means that you can hardly find them, but now you have found them (or you have a good feeling that they exist).
It does not happen often that you encounter evil spirits and demons, but I just met one.
It is not necessary to translate ところ, but I think "if you go to the right places" is pretty good.
