Slovak term
ordinoval
Slovak to English
Medical
Medical (general)
clinical trial
The word appears as a stand-alone word in the following context:
Číslo účastníka:
Rodné číslo:
Návšteva:
Dátum odberu:
Čas odberu:
Diagnóza:
*Ordinoval*:
Oddelenie:
In the space after "Ordinoval", it says "PI name". In other words, it's the Principal Investigator who "ordinoval".
Does it mean the subject was "treated by" the PI, or just "seen by" (not necessarily treated)?
Or does it mean that the PI presided over the whole process (didn't necessarily see the patient personally)?

Another option that fits the context. The meaning of the term suggests that the PI would be present at the visit and supervise the collection of samples, and would likely have a direct interaction with the patient. It does not mean that they ordered the collection of samples - the collection of samples and the visits when it's done is determined by the study design, not by the PI. "Seen by" also sounds as a good option, as it suggests the PI was physically present at the visit.
Note from asker:
Thank you, Jan. After consulting the client, I settled on "seen by" as the best option to use here. |

Discussion
Čiže v tomto kontexte by Dušova odpoveď nižšie mohla vyhovovať. Aj keď by som asi volil miernejšie slovo, niečo ako ordered by.

Ordain je trochu príliš silné.
