HERE it's the type of job done by this operator that is "core" - as it's a shop selling bras, those whose job is selling to clients will be those whose job is "core".

A kind of parallel with what is the "core activity" of this shop: selling. All other jobs are not "the main business" of this shop. For example, every shop needs stock control, security, cleaning, maintenance, etc - these are not "core" jobs.

"core" is here defined by opposition to "auxiliary" jobs, that are not specific to this shop . Not as being "the core of the group" in the sense of being team leaders.

Anyway, in job descriptions an "operator" is always someone doing the effective work, not any kind of leader / supervisor / boss (just another clue).

BTW all this is just "educated guessing" - what is NEEDED to be really sure is a proper "context" i.e. here the list of all other jobs. This job exists within the list of all jobs in this shop, and can be only clearly defined and understood when considerer within this group of jobs.
