I'm translating a certificate of criminal record and I need a little help. Near the end of the document I read "richiesto da: PERSONA INTERESSATA", but I don't know how to translate this "persona interessata" in English: "interested person" sounds too general and "concerned/affected person" sounds strange, at least to me. What is the English legal translation of "persona interessata" according to you? Thanks in advance to whomever will try to help me!

| Thank you for your answer! I had thought about "interested party" but that option, too, sounded a little off to me. Plus, I did some research and it seemed it wasn't used in that way so I had to find another way to express this "persona interessata". |

: No. Another person, such as a potential employer, could be an interested party. But that's not who they're talking about here.

Funnily enough, the Spanish equivalent of this term appears in a question today, and supports my answer.
