thin legs
What you've got left is thin legs you can't stand up on.
The sentence is told to someone in real trouble, and he doesn't have any clues how he will get rid of it.
Thanks in advance,

Cannot support yourself / weak position
Legs are our support, so I presume this is metaphorical. A bit like this meaning:
"Not have a leg to stand on
- to be in a very weak position, for example because you are unable to prove a claim or statement you have made
I haven't got a leg to stand on. I had no witnesses."

He is basically helpless, because think legs means he cannot support himself.

TYPE: Above should read thin, not think.
"No contract = no legs to stand on"
