Wendy It would be bery helpful if you could either post more of your text ot give us a better idea/synopsis of this artist. It is hard to judge from this short piece the appropriate tone of the title of the project.

Sticking one's nose in someone else's business

Based on the literal translation "the sickle in someone else's harvest", I think a suitable translation would be "sticking one's nose where it does not belong" or "sticking one's nose in someone else's business".
Note from asker:
Thanks. The artist's wo9rk has to do with the Cold War, so I guess sickle is important!

neutral AllegroTrans : This is a very critical tone and I wonder whether it needs to be neutral

reaping (the) advantage from someone else's effort/hard work

This might be what I would go with, given the allusion to "harvesting with a sickle".

More informally, "mooching off somebody's effort".

Sorry, I meant "somebody else's effort".

In the footsteps of others

It seems that what you require is a catchy title for a project to convey the idea that the artists is following a path that has been trodden by others who have led the way, and the answers to date are not fit for that purpose.

Segun la referencia, "Meter la hoz en mies ajena: expresión que indica que una persona ejerce profesiones que no le son propias." Por ejemplo, "No le fue bien porque metió la hoz en mies ajena."
