Restoration of old textiles
Referring to the process of working on an old damaged textile, the text says "Su metodología cumple con los requisitos de notoriedad y reversibilidad". When I then asked the client what they meant by notoriedad, they said:
Any bright ideas, please?
Many thanks!

noticeability
Explanation:
"Noticeability is one of the precepts or criteria governing the conservation of works of art and refers to the fact that, as far as possible, the action carried out on the work of art can be seen with the naked eye without the need for exhaustive examinations."
Definition of noticeability
: the quality or state of being noticeable. This

IMHO, "notoriedad" in this context is more than just visibility, but the extent to which something is noticeable/visible, in other words, how much it stands out. So, a repaired section of the artwork or material might be visible, but still not impinge on the overall aspect of the object.

unfavourable recognition
Notoriety is an unfavourable recognition, while something notorious is disreputable.
It suggests that a damaged textile was made with a discredited technique, requiring a reversal or a repair.
