Spanish term
multa de haber
Spanish to English
Law/Patents

Labour rules
In a document from Spain for translation to British English. Talking about sanctions that can be applied to workers resulting from misconduct. From the text of:
What would be an English equivalent, fine against wages? fine deducted from wages?...

reduction in pay
Commonly referred to as 'docking one's pay', but a legal text requires a more formal expression.

: Reduction sounds to a permanent type of thing, while fine is a one-time event stemming from misconduct. Reduction is illegal in some countries, not sure about Spain, but the second paragraph gives us some clue.

: Asker clearly states that the ST refers to "sanctions ... resulting from misconduct" - not 'performance'.
