I have "meulage" and "rectification" several times in the document, either separately or, as here, together:
Machine CNC de terminaison/finition multifonction à 6 axes, dont 5 axes simultanés destinée au meulage/rectification et satinage.
Clearly I can't say "grinding/grinding". Any suggestions?
By the way, for "terminaison/finition" I'm just going to say "finishing". Maybe just saying "grinding" will do?

The solution I've used in the past is 'precision grinding' for 'rectification' vs. just plain 'grinding' for meulage — there is a difference that it's important to retain.

| Thanks Tony, that seems to be the solution. I also thought that rectification could apply to flat or other non-wheel grinding, whereas meulage of course is with a wheel. |

However, as I mentioned, the client wants "grinding" for both rectification and meulage, so that's what I used (without repetition). The job was urgent and I sent it yesterday. In fact what the client wants is list of key words for the purpose of Google referencing. I'll add honing and lapping to my list of translations. |

Or grinding/rectification? These would be two different operations. Grinding to diminish a surface and rectification to alleviate any faults.

in either case finishing and polishing would be appropriate as they relate to the end product and not one in the course of fabrication.
