Discussion

Lancashireman Oct 11, 2021:
Allelujah! And he shall reign for ever and ever, optionally.
Sebastian Witte (asker) Oct 11, 2021:
To the commenter who mentioned gender The person certainly exists, has a name and is male. I am aware of the specifics of my material.
Lancashireman Oct 10, 2021:
"Optionally, he shall..." You seem to be prejudging the gender of the successful candidate, Seb.
philgoddard Oct 10, 2021:
Thanks.
Sebastian Witte (asker) Oct 10, 2021:
Vergütung
1.

So it is not a sub-heading, but an addition highlighted in bold as a new line item. Now that I think about it. The draft translation would thus read "Optionally, he shall receive management bonuses and gratuities."
philgoddard Oct 10, 2021:
So the subheading isn't confidential, but the text underneath is? The only way you can breach confidentiality is by disclosing the parties' names.

'Optional' is 'optional' in this context, rather than 'optionally'.
Sebastian Witte (asker) Oct 10, 2021:
The rest of the employment contract is confidential.

Optional bonuses

The context is in the discussion box. I'm assuming the lowercase "o" in "optional" is a mistake.

I would combine the two words and say "bonuses". One is profit related, and the other is a Christmas bonus.

I've just seen your comment that this is not a subheading. Well, I think it is, since it's written in bold and summarises the text underneath. But you can tweak the translation of "optional" if you feel it's necessary.

shares of profit and bonus payments, optionally

Gratifikation: bonus; bonus payment
Tantieme 1. fee, remuneration 2. Aufsichtsratsvergütung: director's fee 3.
Gewinnanteil: profit share 4. Vergütung: bonus, Zahn, Bank- und Börsenwesen.

Bonus payments to dodge the spelling problems of bonuses or 'boni'. Weihnachtsgratifikation : simply, Christmas bonus.

Putting a comma after payments makes the optionally or as an option refer back to both 'perks' or perquisites.

Tantieme: management bonus may not be profit-related, but e.g. end-of-service.
Example sentence:

IATE: de Prämien und Gratifikationen en bonuses and gratuities
