Spanish term

prestarse en legislación

Spanish to English Law/Patents Law: Contract(s) Sale contract
"Personas que se han prestado en legalización de este acto ya que ellos son capaces aptos por derecho de ley."

What would be an appropriate translation for sentence?

Can you be more precise about the "acto"?

"...ya que ellos son capaces aptos..."

Sounds pretty dodgy.
philgoddard Sep 27, 2021:
It's legalización.

(persons who have) assisted in/provided assistance in the notarisation

I am used to seeing similar wording to this in French. I think I am right in saying that it in the standard data protection notice at the end of a notarised document (in ths case a sale contract), informing the parties who their personal data can be passed to.

agree Adrian MM. : except possibly 'authentication' > notarial attestation + apositlle in lieu of consular legalisation.

Yes but it's a general data protection statement so I don't think it's necessary to specify such things as "apostille" which are implicit
