Instruction in a user manual
Hi all,
The texts:
Additionally, the workstation co-registers angiography with IVUS and OCT pullbacks.
Complete text:
The workstation features quantification of coronary and peripheral arteries, analysis of left and right ventricle of the heart, enhanced stent visualization, and vFFR calculation.
Additionally, the workstation co-registers angiography with IVUS and OCT pullbacks.
The flexible GUI layout enables analysis in both cathlab and research settings. Multiple analyses can be performed simultaneously and side by side.
The context:
It is a user manual for an imaging software for the heart and vessels
The question:
What are "pullbacks" in this scenario?
Thank you a bunch!

The pulling back (after insertion) of a catheter as pictures(images) are taken inside a blood vessel
These catheters can be inserted into the coronary artery over a 0.014 inch conventional guide wire and imaging can be obtained by manual or motorised pullback. Motorised pullbacks are carried out at a speed of 0.5 mm/s, thus a 50 mm coronary artery can be imaged in approximately 90s. Integrated IVUS consoles add to the rapidity of imaging, but mobile IVUS carts are also available.

OCT = optical coherence tomography
Could it mean zooming out?
