Hi everyone,
I'm working on a Palestinian text, and this scene is in a classroom. I'm not sure what it means, is it reinforced paper? Or cardboard?
Here's the context:
Or is a name place card?
Thank you.

It's a material known in Syrian schools as well.

A sheet of paper
Although the literal meaning is a piece of paperboard like my colleague mentioned, but the function of the phrase here is to evoke an absurd scene. It doesn't matter which kind of paper the name was written on as much as the fact that he exists only on paper now.

: Brilliant but my vote is for "paperboard" as it could reinforce the absurd somehow.
