Perché vivo qui da una vita

Dal breve scambio di battute direi che in questa frase "due to" esprime causalità e "forever" è usato in senso iperbolico.

"Perché vivo/abito qui da una vita/da sempre" (per questo conosco tutti i cottage e se mi dici quali stai affittando posso darti qualche indicazione).

Nel contesto di questo dialogo personalmente ometterei il perché "Vivo qui da una vita/da sempre" suona più naturale.
