The invention relates to the field of glazing units provided with openings, and proposes a means for reinforcing said openings.

Patent application WO2013/110885 teaches a lighting device with light-emitting diodes (LEDs) whose light passes through the edge face of a laminated glazing unit.
According to the invention, the edge of an opening in a glass substrate comprising a mineral glass sheet is reinforced by bonding a reinforcing piece, comprising a bonding track which can be bonded around the opening, onto a main face of the glass substrate.

The bonding track is carried by a solid part of the reinforcing piece which projects from the glass substrate after bonding onto a main face of the glass substrate.

The bonding track receives the adhesive for bonding the piece around the opening.
This reinforcing piece may be a disk which conceals the opening when it is bonded to the glass substrate and projects therefrom
