Spanish term

sujeto a sus resultas de las circunstancias personales que constan

Gracias.

Thank you Sandro for the clarification. Most helpful..

@Meridy If we look at the definition you quoted from the Diccionario de derecho — by Rafael de Pina and later edited by his son, Rafael de Peanut Butter — the imputado queda formalmente sujeto a las resultas de un proceso. The defendant is now subject to the outcome of a criminal case, habida cuenta de los indicios racionales de criminalidad contra él (Diccionario para juristas, Palomar de Miguel). Before the defendant is a procesado he is an imputado which, according to the doctrina, is only a suspect. Once the defendant has been declared a procesado he is subject to the results of a criminal case.

Asker, more context please It would be very helpful if you could say who xxxx is - a defendant? what kind of case is this? Please post each sentence before and after this one.

"...and the results flowing from the personal circumstances on record shall be binding on the defendant" makes no sense to me Meridy, sorry. A person's personal circumstance are simply that. A Court would not make a statement such as this.
Meridy Lippoldt Jun 15, 2021:
My understanding is that this is a "procesamiento" whereby a judge determines that a defendant van be prosecuted. I am relying on the definition provided by Rafael de Pina in his Diccionario de Derecho which reads "procesamiento: acto procesal en virtud del cual el imputado queda formalmente sujeto a las resultas de un proceso." So the idea of being bound by the results of the trial seems apposite here. So I would suggest something like : "...and the results flowing from the personal circumstances on record shall be binding on the defendant." Thank you Sandro and Chris for weighing in. I will be interested to get your reaction.

Thank you, Eileen.
neutral AllegroTrans : I fail to see "bound over for trial" here

You're right, Chris, no order to commit to trial yet. It is just probable cause found against the defendant. The “auto de procesamiento” is then followed by an “auto de terminación del sumario” and then an “auto de apertura a juicio.” Thank you!
