exasperat

3. adjective Angry or annoyed with someone. In this usage, "cross with" is a set phrase followed by a noun or pronoun.
Of course I'm cross with you—you lied to me!

Nu sunt foarte sigură, dar ar putea să fie sensul de mai sus, cu diferentța că adăugarea lui ”out” sa augmenteze sensul => supărat foarte tare => exasperat

Notă

Din câte se vede mai jos, ar fi vorba de o notă despre o modificare efectuată (probabil) într-o schiță. Apar mai multe astfel de note în fragmentul de mai jos. Crossed out înseamnă pur și simplu că cuvintele respective au fost șterse.

“Give me your cloakroom ticket,” uttered Dolinin (crossed out).

“Please, let me get your hat and manteau” (crossed out).

“Please,” uttered Dolinin, “let me get your things” (“and my” inserted between “your” and “things”).

Dolinin went up to the cloakroom, and after producing his little ticket (corrected to “both little tickets”)
