And should "Muova ti!" be believed to be an Italian quotation, it is not! It should be "muoviti!" = get moving (Lit. move yourself!).

Thank you all.
Yvonne Gallagher May 4, 2021:
@ Asker it basically means they would be on your tail (right behind you) if you tried to take a break and would tell you to move it.
philgoddard May 3, 2021:
The punctuation is wrong. 'They'd be right up your ginger. They used to say: "Muova ti!"'

Ginger is a word for butt or ass in Australia.
ginger (abbreviation of ginger ale, rhyming slang for ‘tail’) First recorded in 1955.
Stone the crows! I’m sitting here with fifty thousand bags of flour under my ginger.

The meaning of "right up your ginger" may be similar to that of the idiom, "shove it up your ass", which means an exclamation of extreme anger, disgust, hatred; often accompanied by an obscene gesture.

agree philgoddard : But nothing to do with "shove it up your ass". It means they'd pounce on you, and tell you to hurry up.
