USD 1.098 billion
This tickled my curiosity... I just HAD to check.
According to the World Factbook, Peru exported USD 53.823 billion in 2017, meaning ca. USD 13.5 billion per quarter.
Those are total exports. If agricultural products indeed account for USD 1.098 billion, that means that ca. 8% of export comes from agriculture, which sounds somewhat reasonable, given that the bulk consists of metals, oil, and gas.

it should be billion but your source text says "million" so there you have the quandary

en español debería decir "mil millones"

in terms of national exports "million" would be miniscule, so I think there is a mistake in the source text

In Peru, the system used states that the "," is only used to separate the decimal part of a number. Also, in English there should be no space between the currency symbol (USD) and the number or corresponding value.
