Discussion

S.J (asker) Mar 12, 2021:
Thank you all. It seems that the speaker is trying to make it nicer, since they are on TV.
Yvonne Gallagher Mar 11, 2021:
@ Asker agree with Hilary and Tony that the poo looks like "eggs" hence "roo eggs"
Tony M Mar 11, 2021:
@ Asker Yes, I think the person who believes they are 'eggs' (possibly a child?) is either intentionally or innocently euphemising them as 'eggs', in the same way people sometimes humorously refer to rabbit droppings as 'currants'
Hilary McGrath Mar 11, 2021:
Could it be that the poo is in the shape of an egg so they mistakenly believe that it's a kangaroo egg (it sounds like a child who might think that roos do lay eggs)?
David Hollywood Mar 11, 2021:
more context needed for sure
S.J (asker) Mar 11, 2021:
Thank you.
Catharine Cellier-Smart Mar 11, 2021:
Roo = kangaroo "Roo" is an Australian shortening of the word "kangaroo".
See https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/roo#Etymology_2
However obviously kangaroos don't lay eggs, so that can only be explained by your context ;-)
