French term
(maison individuelle) de type Aulne
French to English
Other
Real Estate
This is simply the description of the property photographed here: https://www.google.com/maps/place/27 Avenue Coluche, 77280 O...
I am guessing that *Aulne* refers to a particular style of house, so am considering leaving it in French, but any assistance would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance if you're able to help me.

(detached) Aulne-style house
I think with the added context that this is a will, this is the simplest way of dealing with it.
If someone was buying the house from plans we could talk more easily of a template style as in Emmanuela's link that have different "names" depending on the features. See Dbox

I'd consider quote marks "Aulne" or "Aulne-style" but I'd prefer style to "type" as it seems to indicate it's a particular design although your pic is very different from the pic in Emmanuella's link, which seem to be more appropriate to buying a house off plans.
So, it's not at all certain it is a "trade name"or particular design model (as happens to give variety of design types in an estate rather than having them all identical), unless you have other context that indicates this?

: Possibly with quote marks, since it's a trade name rather than a place.

Yes, I considered that but this is a will, not an estate-agent brochure so not certain it's a trade name after all

: My guess is that the name of the style is taken from the river Aulne in Brittany rather than referring to the tree (aulne=alder).

Thanks! Yes. I can't see it referring to wood here, other than the river probably got its name from alders growing there. There might be a regional style of house originally made from alder but can't find any references to such

: No way! Your ref. is to "Alder" as a name of a specific house in Nottingham, England; the houses pictured are not even wooden, nor is the house referred to by asker

: Alder house type: Aulne is an alternative spelling to Aune https://lichfieldlive.co.uk/2020/10/16/new-showhome-opens-at...

Thanks for your reply, but there is no additional context unfortunately (other than the fact that the house comprises a ground floor, first floor, garage and parking space).
Je pense qu'il s'agit du modèle Aulne (avec majuscule).
