Jonathan Spencer (asker) Mar 3, 2021:
Thanks for the comments everyone. I think Lumbeck binding is a good solution. Here is a little more context, showing what comes before and after. It is a bullet point list of requirements for sending printing material for an advert.

Anzeigenformat:
1/1 Anzeige: 215 x 275 mm
2/1 Anzeigen: 430 x 275 mm, bitte als Einzelseiten liefern. Bitte achten Sie auf eine eindeutige Namensgebung der Dateien, so dass die linke/rechte Seite klar erkannt werden kann

Heftverarbeitung:
geklebt (gelumbeckt)

Anschnitt:
5 mm (oben: 5mm, unten: 5mm, rechts: 5mm, links: 5mm)

Double bind? No, I'm not being serious (about "double bind"). Seriously, though, depending on the context, I would suggest one of the following: "Binding: double fan"; "Binding: Lumbeck"; or "Binding: single leaf". The context, i.e. what comes before and afterwards, would tell us whether it is appropriate to keep to the format of the source text, as I have suggested. So this is a plea, not only to Jonathan, but to all askers to give us more context in future.

Go for it, Phil =) I didn't have time to research thoroughly as I had to pick up my kid from kindergarten ;) I just felt that "Lumbeck" rang a bell somehow so I looked that part up quickly. It seems that double-fan binding (or confusingly "single leaf binding"!) was invented by Lumbeck, so go for it!

I'm not sure what this has to do with placing an ad in a magazine though...
philgoddard Mar 3, 2021:
Are you going to put that as an answer, Dorothy? I also found "double-fan binding".
Dorothy Schaps Mar 3, 2021:
Lumbeck binding Lumbeck (also used as a verb in EN!) is a way of binding a book... There's lots of step-by-step instructions online, which might help =)

Stitching

This seems to be a heading for the type of stitching to be used, in this case Lumbeck.
