Estoy traduciendo un cómic sobre baloncesto y me topé con este término. En la parte en la que aparece, alguien está describiendo a los jugadores del equipo contrario, y va así:
-Their captain XXXX is a center who is the main scoring threat for YYYY High School. He has an aggressive playstyle and can even shoot from midrange along with his low post ability. Vice captain ZZZZ is a point guard who also manages YYYY High School's overall strategy.
En contré la definición en inglés, pero no encuentro el equivalente es español.

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).
Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.
When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.
* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

Tiro de media distancia (TMD): son aquellos que no son considerados tiros libres ni tiro de larga distancia sino que se efectúa en una zona intermedia entre estos dos, esta zona está delimitada a una distancia de 1.50 metros y 5. 25 y 6 del aro. FIBA (2017).

Of the 59 NBA players who attempted at least 300 midrange shots that season (1996-97), Jordan ranked third in overall efficiency, hitting 49.5% on over 1,100 tries. Only Chris Mullin and Vinny Del Negro were more accurate. Reggie Miller, commonly regarded as the finest shooter of that era, made 42.4% of his 484 midrange shots that season. Yep, Miller attempted 484 while Jordan made 547.
Jordan ranked first in midrange scoring and third in efficiency despite his midrange game requiring him to take numerous impossible shots against the league’s top defenders on a nightly basis.
