Hello Marta. As others have pointed out, it would be best to talk to your client as this is definitely a translation issue... taking into account that they used the wrong meaning - "severity" - which in turn has many synonyms, like degree, amount, rate, scope, etc.

Sospecho que no es inglés correcto Marta, no sé quién es tu cliente (haces bien por supuesto en proteger su identidad), pero si es oriental (China, etc.) el texto podría ser resultado de una traducción de algún idioma asiático al inglés.
La frase habitual en este contexto es esta:
We have the right to determine the tariff standards and charging methods for our products and services.

Mi instinto me dice que tu frase es una traducción de otro idioma.

Gracias, Toni. En este caso y considerando el contenido del doc no creo que se refiera a daños.

Gracias Marta Lo decía no por la evaluación de riesgos en sí misma, sino porque "severity" puede referirse a "daños", "deterioros", como explica el vínculo incluido antes. Es decir, ellos tendrían "derecho a determinar los niveles tarifarios y cobrar por daños en los productos y servicios que (...)".
Es solo una posible lectura, probablemente poco realista.
Lo siento, tu frase me tiene desconcertado.

Toni: No tiene nada que ver con evaluación de riesgos. Se trata de un contrato de usuario de un videojuego, sección tarifas aplicables.

Me parece que una posibilidad es que se refiera a un cargo que se cobra al cliente/usuario por cancelar la adquisición los productos y servicios, es decir, por dejar de adquirirlos.

Ya. Pero "severance" no es cancelación. Es cese (como en "severance payment") o divisibilidad o separación de demandas ("severance of actions"). No creo que tenga relación en este contexto.
