Проклятье, они заставили нас прятаться.
Как я понимаю, смысл фразы в том, что их заставили спрятаться.
Поэтому подойдёт "заставили зарыться в землю", "найти укрытие", "спрятаться в сарае", "сидеть в окопах" или "в овраге", то есть ближе к "прижали к земле".
"Они прижали нас" - тут ближе к тому, что их прижали к стенке, поставили в трудное положение, это другой оттенок, он, на мой взгляд, не очень подходит.
