un 'rechazo' is a 'refusal' or a 'rejection'

Another definition of 'rechazo' is 'rebound'. I think the words describe a leakage or escape (emission) of a substance. Quote:
"Describe un rechazo de la salida del postratamiento que contiene la mayor parte de la material no susceptible de transformación."
(It describes a rebound of la leakage (escape or exit), from the after-treatment, containing the most part of the material which is not susceptible to transformation (non-transformable material)).

: According to Collins Dictionary online "refusal to do something is the fact of them showing or saying that they will not do it, allow it, or accept it." Rejection carries personal nuance, but can also be correct. Context determines best choice.

rejection
"rejection of post-treatment output..."
Could be something else depending on what is before, but this seems to make sense.

... are given in Table 28 and Appendix Table A-54. ***Analyses of post-treatment refuse samples*** show little change in the chemical status in the 0-60 cm depth.

Can you give a few sentences before and after please. Or more sentences containing "rechazo". The sentence with the term is incomplete (it lacks a verb) so it's not very helpful.
FWIW, I don't think "refusal/rejection" fits because they are actions (abstract nouns), I think it refers to a tangible material (concrete noun), based on your other question. Could be something along the lines of "wastage/waste, residues, leftovers, remnants, ..." but I think we need more context.
