Hi everyone,
So I'm a bit stumped with this term. I know it can refer to 'signage', but this doesn't seem to be the meaning in the text I'm working on.
The context is the opening section of a TV series and the graphic designer talks about developing maps, newspapers, photos, 'rotulación', etc. It's an historical series so the opening section shows newspapers, maps, photos, etc. with animation (e.g. the photo of a boat with steam coming out from it).
Could 'rotulación' just be referring to text?

Diría que más que a signage se refiere a sign painting, aunque tal vez se refiera específicamente a titling ("titles, captions, or subtitles added to something such as a book cover or video"). Me decantaría por la primera, pero el contexto específico es el que te dará la solución, sin duda.
