Polish term

osoba niepełnosprawna

Polish to English Social Sciences Human Resources Ergonomy
Weryfikacja ergonomiczna stanowiska pracy akuszerek z wzdolsnieniem możliwości przystosowanie stanowiska do osób niepełnosprawnych.

This is the handwritten title of a study and there might be some misspellings in it too, but the last two words are clear.

Discussion

Andrzej Mierzejewski Jan 16, 2020:
It's of no meaning for this translation of just a title, still, in this context, "persons with disabilities" regards to the pregnant women, not the hospital staff.
Andrzej Mierzejewski Jan 15, 2020:
Thank you.
:-)
JANOS SAMU (asker) Jan 14, 2020:
When the content is unknown Unfortunately only the title is given in the document among other unrelated titles, so I cannot conclude if the stanowisko applies to the midwifes or the women giving birth, but the grammatical structure of the sentence suggests that it applies to the midwifes.
Andrzej Mierzejewski Jan 14, 2020:
@Janos Just one question to make sure:

the "disabled persons" in this paper - midwifes or pregnant women?
geopiet Jan 14, 2020:

Andrzej Mierzejewski Jan 14, 2020:
@geopiet "why narrow down to "physical" only?, what about "people with mental disability"? they are employable as well"

Czy wyobrażasz sobie, że akuszerka - kobieta, która pomaga rodzić dzieci - ma niesprawność intelektualną albo fizyczną? Może zapytaj kobiety ze swojej rodziny.

Poza tym np.:

What qualifications do I need to train as a midwife?
Each university sets its own entry requirements to get onto a full-time degree in midwifery (as do employers offering degree apprenticeships), but as a general guide you'll need at least 5 9-4/A-C grade GCSEs (including English and a science subject) and at least 2 (preferably 3) A' levels - biology may be required by some.

Alternative level 3 qualifications such as an approved access to midwifery course, BTEC National Diploma or International Baccalaureate may be acceptable, but you must check with each university or employer directly before making an application.

Przypuszczam, że wymagania w US są podobne.

Zdaje się, że w omawianym tekście określenie "osoba niepełnosprawna" dotyczy rodzącej kobiety.
Andrzej Mierzejewski Jan 14, 2020:
IMO should be:
z wzdolsnieniem = z uwzględnieniem = with taking into consideration

From the context I inferred that a midwife would have a physical disability, not mental.
