Snap H-mullion into the fixed sash that was installed on the most interior side of the door and fastened as shown in the steps below.
Ensure the H-Mullion is flush with the bottom of the fixed sash panel.
Using rubber mallet, gently tap the H-mullion onto the fixed panel as shown.
You will have to hit this H-mullion with some force to get the legs to engage into the fixed sash pocket.
Lead-based paint may be present in older homes, and the removal of windows & doors may cause this paint to be disturbed.

Aqui por ejemplo lo llaman tambien "compartimiento":
"Los contrapesos en las ventanas antiguas generalmente consisten de pesas cilíndricas verticales con un bucle en la parte superior. Descansan fuera de la vista en los espacios de recorrido dentro de la jamba de la ventana, y usualmente se puede acceder a ellos a través de un pequeño compartimiento en el fondo de la ventana que está cubierto con un bloque que se puede quitar."
