Spanish term

realizar la prestación

Spanish to English Bus/Financial Insurance Personal Accident policy
This is ambiguous to me. What do others think, please?
Many thanks.

"Ante todo, en caso de siniestro, el Tomador del Seguro y el Asegurado han de poner todos los medios a su alcance para aminorar las consecuencias del mismo, cooperando al salvamento de personas y bienes..... Inmediatamente, el Asegurador procurará ponerse de acuerdo con el Asegurado o el Beneficiario para fijar el importe de la indemnización o realizar la prestación."

I think that the Colleagues that commented my answer are all good professionals and very well experienced in translation (more than me). I am glad to have received those positive o neutral comments from them. All this said, I think that their suggestions should be taken in good consideration. So, yes, of course I would put "provide the benefit or service". :)
Note from asker:
Based on these comments, how about "provide the benefit or service" to cover all bases?

neutral philgoddard : But what service?

Insurance per se is a service :)
agree Mary Gardner Hume : I agree. Phil I get your point, but insurance contracts always use this to refer to the service the claim is filed for- provide reimbursement for frozen food after a power outage, repair the car that was damaged, too many to enumerate.

Thank you :)
agree Adrian MM. : ... if it refers to performing the salvage, rather than paying the benefit..
