In un contratto di cessione di quota immobiliare un appartamento viene definito "di tipo ultrapopolare". Immagino che significhi "very basic" ma vorrei averne la conferma perche non mi e capitato prima un tale uso, e sul dizionario la parola non compare tra le parole composte con "ültra". Grazie tante! Scusate la mancanza di contesto: "porzione di fabbricato ... consistente in un appartamento di tipo ultrapopolare al piano terreno, composto da soggiorno, cucina, tre camere e servizio igienico". La definizione fornita da Shera da Wikipedia pareva convincente, e l'avevo accolta, ma mi interesserebbe sentire anche le vostre opinioni . Grazie

I think it can mean both 'very basic' as you said or 'very much sought/popular/in demand'. An example of Ultrapopolare: https://openversus.photoshelter.com/image/I0000QwKc3mz3ntk and this explains why the San Lorenzo neighbourhood is popular though not all apartments are basic: http://www.gowithoh.com/en/rome-apartments/san-lorenzo-unive... You should have something, maybe later on, in the text that indicates whether it is one or the other; otherwise, you'd have to ask the client.

Hi Alison, Thanks for your answer. It turned out that you were absolutely right even though another person suggested that the term can also have very positive connotations. Later in the contract I found the "reddito catastale" for the proprty in question, which was in fact very low. Thanks again.
