Spanish term

Eje

Spanish to English Bus/Financial Finance (general) Annual Report
Hi everyone,

I am looking for the correct translation of the term 'eje'. The context is an annual report, and 'eje' comes after the word 'serie' and is part of the title in a table that is talking about series of debt and characteristics of different stocks/shares, such as when they were issued, how long for, interest rates etc. I haven't seen 'eje' in this context before. Would 'axis' be an appropriate term in this context? Or would it be more like 'principal/main'? Many thanks in advance!

Hi Charles, yes that is the exact format I am transating, it seems to be a standard format. I dont know if eje is a synonym of series though... maybe it could mean 'reference point' or 'benchmark'?
Charles Davis Mar 20, 2019:
There are a number of Mexican "reportes anuales" online in which "eje" occurs in square brackets after "serie" as a heading in tables, which suggests that they are synonyms, at least in these cases. See, for example, pp. 3-5 here:

Yes words, for example: Clase, serie, tipo, bolsas donde están registrados...
Eje is in square brackets. I guess it could be referring to another graph not shown. The other term in square brackets undernearth is 'sinopsis'

Yes I can't visualise what this table looks like. Is it actually a column heading? Is "eje" written in square brackets, or are those yours? Could it be the axis of a graph?

Could you please tell us what type of text is under that column heading? Words?
