Continuous Resin-in-Pulp (cRIP) is a process where leached slurry containing valuable metals in liquid phase is contacted with ion exchange resin. Nickel, cobalt and scandium, along with some impurities, are adsorbed on to the resin and then desorbed into a rich eluate solution for further processing.
