English to Japanese Medical Medical (general)

After randomization the subjects were treated for up to 16 weeks in a double-blind fashion: 8 weeks forced titration up to the respective randomized dose of MEDIA 999 (200mg/day, 400mg/day, or 600mg/day) or placebo (one step in back-titration of 100mg/day or placebo was allowed at the end of the Titration Phase), 8 weeks Maintenance Phase on the achieved randomized dose, and either 3 weeks Transition Phase or 4 weeks Taper Phase.
